Relying on Allah for Salvation

SUMMARY: Trusting in Allah and avoiding superstitious practices will lead to Paradise.

'Imran b. Husain reported: Verily the Messenger of Allah said: Seventy thousand men of my Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering account. They (the companions of the Holy Prophet) said: Who would be those, Messenger of Allah? He (the Holy Prophet) said: They would be those who neither practise charm, not take omens, nor do they cauterise, but they repose their trust in their Lord.

QUICK LESSONS:
Rely on God, Avoid superstitions

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of trusting in Allah and avoiding superstitious practices. It is reported that the Prophet Muhammad said that seventy thousand people from his Ummah would enter paradise without having to render an account. When asked who these people were, he replied that they were those who did not practice charm, take omens, or cauterise but instead put their trust in their Lord. This hadith teaches us that if we rely on Allah and avoid superstitions then we will be rewarded with paradise. We should strive to have faith in our Lord and turn away from any form of superstition as it is a sign of weak faith.
