EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prayer of bowing and prostration that Prophet Muhammad used to recite. It is reported by Aisha, one of his wives, that he would say “Subhanaka l-lahumma Rabbana wa bihamdika; Allahumma ghfir li” which translates to “Exalted are you O Allah our Lord, and by Your praise [do I exalt you]. O Allah! Forgive me” while bowing and prostrating in prayer. This hadith teaches us the importance of praising God during our prayers as well as asking for His forgiveness. It also shows us how important it is to make supplications during our prayers as this was something that the Prophet himself did regularly. We can learn from this hadith that we should always strive to make our prayers meaningful by including praises for God and asking for His mercy in them.
