Sahih Muslim 199a (Book 1, Hadith 397) #7662
The Prophet's Intercession for His Ummah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad reserved his prayer for the intercession of his Ummah on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be granted if Allah wills, provided they die without associating anything with Allah.

Abu Huraira said: The Prophet of Allah said: There is for every apostle a prayer which is granted, but every prophet showed haste in his prayer. I have, however, reserved my prayer for the intercession of my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection, and it would be granted, if Allah so willed, in case of everyone amongst my Ummah provided he dies without associating anything with Allah.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray sincerely and faithfully; Stay away from sin; Follow what you believe in; Believe in one God only; Have faith in God's mercy and grace

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is teaching us about the power and importance of prayer. He said that every prophet has a prayer that is granted by God, but he chose to reserve his own prayer for something special. He wanted to use it as an intercession on behalf of all those who follow him on the Day of Judgment. This means that if someone dies without committing any sins or associating anything with God, then their prayers will be answered through this intercession from the Prophet Muhammad. This hadith teaches us about how powerful our prayers can be when we are sincere in our faith and practice what we believe in. It also reminds us to always strive to stay away from sin so that we can benefit from this great blessing from God through His messenger.
