The Prophet's Promise of Paradise

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that he will have the largest following on the Day of Resurrection and be the first to knock at the door of Paradise.

Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah said: Amongst the apostles I would have the largest following on the Day of Resurrection, and I would be the first to knock at the door of Paradise.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ أَنَا أَكْثَرُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ تَبَعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَقْرَعُ بَابَ الْجَنَّةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a promise made by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, that he will have the largest following on the Day of Resurrection and be the first to knock at the door of Paradise. This hadith teaches us that those who follow in his footsteps and obey God’s commands will receive great rewards in this life and in their afterlife. It also encourages us to strive for righteousness so we can gain entry into paradise when our time comes.
