Sahih al-Bukhari 789 (Book 10, Hadith 184) #764
The Etiquette of Prayer

SUMMARY: This hadith explains the various times during prayer when one should say Takbir and Rabbana laka-l hamd.

And narrated Abu Huraira: Whenever Allah's Messenger stood for the prayer, he said Takbir on starting the prayer and then on bowing. On rising from bowing he said, "Sami'a llahu liman hamidah," and then while standing straight he used to say, "Rabbana laka-l hamd" (Al- Laith said, "(The Prophet said), 'Wa laka l-hamd'". He used to say Takbir on prostrating and on raising his head from prostration; again he would Say Takbir on prostrating and raising his head. He would then do the same in the whole of the prayer till it was completed. On rising from the second rak'a (after sitting for at-Tahiyyat), he used to say Takbir.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the etiquette of prayer as taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. During prayer, one should say Takbir at the beginning and then on bowing. When rising from bowing, one should say "Sami'a llahu liman hamidah" and while standing straight they should say "Rabbana laka-l hamd". One should also say Takbir on prostrating and raising their head from prostration throughout the entire prayer until it is completed. On rising from the second rak'a after sitting for at-Tahiyyat, they should again say takbir. These are all important parts of proper etiquette during prayer that Muslims must follow in order to properly worship Allah SWT.
