Seeing Allah with the Heart

SUMMARY: The Holy Prophet saw Allah with his heart.

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that he (the Holy Prophet) saw (Allah) with, his heart.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ رَآهُ بِقَلْبِهِ

This hadith speaks of the power of belief and faith in Allah. It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that he saw Allah with his heart. We can experience His love and mercy through our hearts if we open ourselves up to Him.
