Sahih al-Bukhari 76 (Book 3, Hadith 18) #76
Passing in Front of Prayers

SUMMARY: The hadith is about a young boy, Ibn Abbas, who was allowed to pass in front of the rows of people while they were praying without anyone objecting.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Once I came riding a she-ass and had (just) attained the age of puberty. Allah's Messenger was offering the prayer at Mina. There was no wall in front of him and I passed in front of some of the row while they were offering their prayers. There I let the she-ass loose to graze and entered the row, and nobody objected to it.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be respectful and mindful when passing by someone who is praying .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that when one is offering their prayers, it is permissible for someone to pass in front of them as long as they are not intentionally trying to disrupt the prayer. This was demonstrated by a young boy named Ibn 'Abbas who passed in front of some people while they were praying and no one objected. It teaches us that we should be respectful and mindful when passing by someone who is praying and not do anything that would disturb them or cause them to break their concentration. We should also be aware that if we are ever in a situation where someone passes by us while we are praying, it is okay for us to let them go without any objection.
