The Power of Saying "Amin"

SUMMARY: Saying "Amin" when praying can lead to forgiveness of past sins.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "If any one of you says, "Amin" and the angels in the heavens say "Amin" and the former coincides with the latter, all his past sins will be forgiven".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا قَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ آمِينَ‏.‏ وَقَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ فِي السَّمَاءِ آمِينَ‏.‏ فَوَافَقَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأُخْرَى، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

This hadith speaks about the power of saying “Amin” when praying. According to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, if a person says “Amin” and it coincides with the angels in heaven also saying “Amin” then all their past sins will be forgiven.
