The Melodious Voice of the Prophet (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) had a beautiful and melodious voice when reciting the Quran.

Narrated Al-Bara: I heard the Prophet reciting wa t-teeni wa z-zaitun" (95) in the 'Isha' prayer, and I never heard a sweeter voice or a better way of recitation than that of the Prophet.

QUICK LESSONS:
Read Qur'an with clarity & beauty; Use your voice for good; Speak peacefully & kindly; Respect & honor Allah's words; Follow in footsteps of prophet Muhammad ﷺ .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the beautiful voice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when he was reciting from the Quran. Al-Bara narrated that he heard him recite “wa t-teeni wa z-zaitun” in his Isha prayer and said that he never heard a sweeter or better way of recitation than that of the Prophet. This shows us how important it is to recite with beauty and clarity when we are reading from Allah's book. It also teaches us to be mindful of our voices and how we use them as they can be powerful tools for good or bad. We should strive to use our voices in ways that will bring peace and joy to those around us, just as the prophet did with his own voice.
