Sahih Muslim 64a (Book 1, Hadith 127) #7392
The Outrage of Abusing a Muslim

SUMMARY: Abusing a Muslim is an outrage and fighting against him is unbelief.

It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed: Abusing a Muslim is an outrage and fighting against him is unbelief. Zubaid said: I asked Abu Wa'il: Did you hear it from Abdullah narrating if from the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes. But there is mention of the talk between Zubaid and Abu Wa'il in the hadith narrated by Shu'ba.

QUICK LESSONS:
Treat fellow believers with kindness and respect
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of respecting fellow Muslims and not engaging in any form of physical or verbal abuse towards them. It also warns against fighting with other Muslims as it is considered to be disbelief in Allah's teachings. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that we should treat our fellow believers with kindness and respect, no matter what differences we may have between us. We should strive to resolve any conflicts peacefully without resorting to violence or aggression. Furthermore, this hadith serves as a reminder that Allah will judge us for our actions and words towards others so it is important to always be mindful of how we interact with one another.
