Reciting Surah At-Tur in the Maghrib Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recited Surah At-Tur in the Maghrib prayer.

Narrated Jubair bin Mut'im: My father said, "I heard Allah's Messenger reciting "at-Tur" (52) in the Maghrib prayer".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَرَأَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِالطُّورِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's recitation of a chapter from the Quran called "Surah At-Tur" during his evening prayer. This chapter is found in the 52nd sura of the Quran and it contains verses that talk about Allah's power and greatness. It also talks about how Allah has created everything with wisdom and purpose. The Prophet Muhammad was known to recite this sura during his evening prayers as a reminder to himself and others of Allah's greatness and power. By doing so, he was teaching us to always remember Allah's greatness no matter what we are doing or where we are at any given time. He was also teaching us that we should always strive to be mindful of our actions because they have consequences both in this life and in the hereafter.
