This hadith is about the consequences of labeling someone as an unbeliever. It was reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said that if a person calls his brother an unbeliever then this act would return to either one of them. If it were true then it would confirm the man's unbelief but if it were not true then it would return to him who labeled his brother as such. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful with our words and not label people with something they are not because there could be consequences for us in doing so. We should also remember that everyone has their own beliefs and we should respect those beliefs even if they differ from ours. We should also strive to create a peaceful environment where everyone can express their opinions without fear or judgement from others.
