Best Deeds According to the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that the best deeds are to perform daily prayers, be good and dutiful to one's parents, and participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause.

Narrated Ibn Mas'ud: A man asked the Prophet "What deeds are the best?" The Prophet said: "(1) To perform the (daily compulsory) prayers at their (early) stated fixed times, II to be good and dutiful to one's own parents, III and to participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause".

QUICK LESSONS:

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad taught that the best deeds a person can do are to pray five times a day at their fixed times, be kind and respectful towards their parents, and participate in jihad for Allah’s cause. Prayer is an important part of being a Muslim as it helps us stay connected with God. Being kind and respectful towards our parents is also very important because they have done so much for us throughout our lives. Lastly, participating in jihad means striving for justice by standing up against oppression or wrongdoing. It does not necessarily mean going into battle but rather doing what we can within our own capacity to make sure justice prevails.
