The Reward of Allah's Pleasure

SUMMARY: Allah will reward the people of Paradise with His pleasure and never be angry with them.

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah will say to the people of Paradise, "O the people of Paradise!" They will say, Labbaik, O our Lord, and Sa'daik, and all the good is in Your Hands!' Allah will say, "Are you satisfied?' They will say, 'Why shouldn't we be satisfied, O our Lord as You have given us what You have not given to any of Your created beings?' He will say, 'Shall I not give you something better than that?' They will say, 'O our Lord! What else could be better than that?' He will say, 'I bestow My Pleasure on you and will never be angry with you after that'. "
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ لأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ‏.‏ فَيَقُولُونَ لَبَّيْكَ رَبَّنَا وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ‏.‏ فَيَقُولُ هَلْ رَضِيتُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ وَمَا لَنَا لاَ نَرْضَى يَا رَبِّ وَقَدْ أَعْطَيْتَنَا مَا لَمْ تُعْطِ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ‏.‏ فَيَقُولُ أَلاَ أُعْطِيكُمْ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ‏.‏ فَيَقُولُونَ يَا رَبِّ وَأَىُّ شَىْءٍ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَيَقُولُ أُحِلُّ عَلَيْكُمْ رِضْوَانِي فَلاَ أَسْخَطُ عَلَيْكُمْ بَعْدَهُ أَبَدًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards that await those who enter paradise. It is narrated by Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri that Prophet Muhammad said that when the people of paradise are asked if they are satisfied, they will reply in the affirmative as they have been given what no other created being has been given. Then, Allah will bestow upon them His pleasure and He will never be angry with them after that. This hadith teaches us to strive for paradise and to always remain grateful for all the blessings we receive from our Lord. We should also remember that even if we do not get what we want in this life, there is still a great reward awaiting us in paradise if we remain patient and steadfast on our faith. Furthermore, it reminds us to always seek refuge in God from any harm or distress as He is most merciful and forgiving towards His believers.
