Sahih al-Bukhari 7362 (Book 96, Hadith 89) #7064
Accepting What is Revealed

SUMMARY: Muslims should not blindly believe or disbelieve the people of the Book, but rather accept what is revealed to them and to others.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The people of the Book used to read the Torah in Hebrew and then explain it in Arabic to the Muslims. Allah's Messenger said (to the Muslims)".Do not believe the people of the Book, nor disbelieve them, but say, 'We believe in Allah and whatever is revealed to us, and whatever is revealed to you'. "

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for others, Be open minded towards different beliefs

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how Muslims should interact with people from other faiths. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed his followers not to blindly believe or disbelieve what they hear from those who follow different religions, but instead to accept whatever is revealed in their own faith and in other faiths. This teaches us that we should be open minded and respectful towards those who have different beliefs than us, while still staying true to our own faith. We can learn from each other without compromising our beliefs.
