QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for excellence and put your best effort into whatever you do according to Islamic teachings/values.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ once organized a horse race between two places called Al-Hafya and Thaniyat al Wada'. He allowed some of the horses to be given less food for a few days before the race so that they would be faster. This was done so that those who had prepared their horses could win the race. Nafi' narrated this hadith and Abdullah was one of those who participated in the race. This hadith teaches us that it is permissible to use certain strategies in order to win competitions as long as they are not against Islamic teachings or values. It also teaches us that we should always strive for excellence and put our best effort into whatever we do.
