Be honest with yourself & others . Learn from both sources -the Qur'an & sunnah-.

This hadith explains how honesty is an important trait that should be found in all faithful believers. It states that this trait was already present in their hearts, but it was further strengthened when they read the Qur'an and learnt from it as well as from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad's sunnah. This hadith emphasizes on how important it is to be honest with oneself as well as with others, for it is a quality which will bring one closer to Allah. It also teaches us to learn from both sources -the Qur'an and sunnah - so we can become better Muslims who are honest in our words and deeds.
