EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of obedience to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The narrator of this hadith is Abdullah bin Umar who was one of the companions of the Prophet. He said that whenever they gave their pledge to listen and obey Allah’s messenger, he would tell them “for as much as you can”. This means that we should try our best to follow and obey what he has taught us. We should not just do it half-heartedly but with all our heart and soul so that we can be successful in this life and in the hereafter. We should also remember that obedience is a sign of faithfulness towards God and His messenger which will be rewarded by Him on Judgment Day.
