Sahih al-Bukhari 7135 (Book 92, Hadith 82) #6854
Warning of an Approaching Great Evil

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ warned the people of a great evil that was approaching and said that even if there were righteous people among them, they would still be destroyed if the number of evil persons increased.

Narrated Zainab bint Jahsh: That one day Allah's Messenger entered upon her in a state of fear and said, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah! Woe to the Arabs from the Great evil that has approached (them). Today a hole has been opened in the dam of Gog and Magog like this". The Prophet made a circle with his index finger and thumb. Zainab bint Jahsh added: I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we be destroyed though there will be righteous people among us?" The Prophet said, "Yes, if the (number) of evil (persons) increased".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for righteousness , Trust Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned his followers about a great evil that was approaching. He made a circle with his index finger and thumb to illustrate how big this hole in the dam of Gog and Magog was. When Zainab bint Jahsh asked if they would be destroyed even though there were righteous people among them, he said yes, as long as the number of evil persons increased. This hadith teaches us to always strive for righteousness and to not let our guard down when it comes to doing good deeds, because we never know what might happen in the future. We should also remember that Allah is all-knowing and all-powerful, so we should trust Him no matter what happens in life.
