Sahih al-Bukhari 709 (Book 10, Hadith 104) #684
Consideration for Mothers in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was aware of the mother's emotions and would shorten his prayer when he heard a child crying, out of consideration for the mother.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "When I start the prayer I intend to prolong it, but on hearing the cries of a child, I cut short the prayer because I know that the cries of the child will incite its mother's passions".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be considerate and mindful of others' emotions even during prayers
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to be considerate and mindful of others, even during our prayers. He demonstrated this by shortening his prayer when he heard a child crying, understanding that it would cause distress to its mother. This teaches us that we should always be mindful of how our actions may affect those around us, and strive to make decisions that are beneficial for all involved. We should also remember that Allah is merciful and forgiving; if we forget or are unable to complete our prayers due to circumstances beyond our control, He will still accept them with grace.
