Sahih al-Bukhari 7057 (Book 92, Hadith 9) #6781
Patience and Giving Rulers Their Due Rights

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ advised a man to be patient and give rulers their due rights, even if they do not give him his due rights.

Narrated Usaid bin Hudair: A man came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Messenger ! You appointed such-and-such person and you did not appoint me?" The Prophet said, "After me you will see rulers not giving you your right (but you should give them their right) and be patient till you meet me".

QUICK LESSONS:
Remain Patient In Difficult Times And Never Forget Our Duties Towards Those In Authority Over Us .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of patience and giving rulers their due rights. The Prophet ﷺ was asked why he appointed someone else instead of the person asking, to which he replied that after him there will be rulers who will not give people their due rights but they should still remain patient until they meet him in the hereafter. This hadith teaches us that we should always remain patient in difficult times and never forget our duties towards those in authority over us. We must always remember to respect them, even if they do not treat us fairly or with justice. It also reminds us that ultimately, all matters will be judged by Allah on the Day of Judgment so we should strive to do what is right regardless of how others may treat us.
