Introducing New Things Into Religion

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ is a predecessor at the Lake-Fount and some people will be taken away from him by force. He will ask God why, and God will tell him that they introduced new things into the religion after he left.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar) and some men amongst you will be brought to me, and when I will try to hand them some water, they will be pulled away from me by force whereupon I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' Then the Almighty will say, 'You do not know what they did after you left, they introduced new things into the religion after you'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Stay true to your faith and do not introduce any new things into it .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of staying true to one's faith and not introducing any new things into it. It tells us that even though we may think our actions are right, we should always stay within the boundaries set by our religion. The Prophet (ﷺ) is a predecessor at the Lake-Fount, which is a place in Paradise where believers can drink from its waters. Some people will be taken away from him by force when he tries to give them water, and when he asks God why this happened, God tells him that they introduced new things into their religion after he left. This teaches us that we should never introduce anything new into our faith as it could lead to punishment or being taken away from Paradise. We must stay within the boundaries set by our religion in order to ensure we are rewarded for our good deeds in the afterlife.
