Sahih al-Bukhari 7027 (Book 91, Hadith 44) #6755
The Dream of Knowledge

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad saw a dream in which he was given a bowl of milk and upon drinking it, he felt its wetness flowing through his body. He interpreted this dream to mean that it was knowledge.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: I heard Allah's Messenger saying, "While I was sleeping, I saw a bowl full of milk was brought to me and I drank of it (to my fill) till I noticed its wetness flowing (in my body). Then I gave the remaining of it to 'Umar". They asked, "O Allah's Messenger ! What have you interpreted (about the dream)? He said, "(It is Religious) knowledge".
