QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful about our actions and how they may affect others; strive to help those who are less fortunate than us through any means possible; ensure that everyone has access to basic necessities such as food and shelter.

EXPLANATIONS:
Before Islam, people used to free slaves as a form of charity. This was known as Sa'iba and was practiced by those living in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance. However, this practice was not adopted by Muslims after they accepted Islam. Instead, they chose to focus on other forms of charity such as giving money or food to those in need. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful about our actions and how they may affect others; even if something is seen as charitable or good in one society, it may not be accepted in another. We should also strive to help those who are less fortunate than us through any means possible and ensure that everyone has access to basic necessities such as food and shelter.
