Seek guidance from Allah when making decisions about life; Change behaviour so as to become closer to Allah through good deeds & actions; Use one's possession wisely & judiciously; Do not give away all one's possession in repentance .

Ka'b bin Malik was one of the three people who stayed behind from the battle of Tabuk. He felt guilty and wanted to repent by giving up all his property for the sake of Allah and His Apostle. However, the Prophet advised him to keep some of his wealth, as it is better for him. This hadith teaches us that we should not give away all our possessions in repentance but rather use them wisely and judiciously in order to benefit ourselves and others around us. We should also remember that Allah knows best what is good for us and we should always seek His guidance when making decisions about our lives. Furthermore, this hadith also reminds us that repentance does not necessarily mean giving away everything we own; rather it means changing our behaviour so that we can become closer to Allah through good deeds and actions.
