Respect all people regardless of tribe or family; judge people based on character rather than external factors; recognize one’s worthiness based on one’s actions rather than external factors such as tribe or family name.

In this hadith narrated by Abu Bakra, the Prophet ﷺ is teaching us about the superiority of certain tribes. He asked his companions if they thought that the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina and Juhaina were better than those of Tamim, 'Amir bin Sa'sa'a , Ghatfan and Asad. His companions answered yes to this question. The Prophet ﷺ then affirmed their answer by saying “By Him in Whose Hand my soul is” which means he was sure about what he was saying. This hadith teaches us that we should not judge people based on their tribe or family but rather on their character and actions as these are more important in determining a person’s worthiness or superiority over another person.
