Last in the World, Foremost on Judgement Day

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ said that Muslims will be the last in the world, but will be foremost on the Day of Resurrection.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "We (Muslims) are the last in the world, but will be foremost on the Day of Resurrection".
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ نَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how Muslims are currently at a disadvantage in this world, but they will be rewarded for their faithfulness and piety on Judgement Day. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reassuring his followers that although they may not have much worldly success now, they should remain steadfast and patient as Allah rewards those who are faithful to Him. On Judgement Day, all of their struggles and hardships will pay off as they receive their due reward from Allah. This hadith encourages us to stay true to our faith even when times are tough and reminds us that our ultimate goal should always be pleasing Allah rather than seeking worldly success.
