Sahih al-Bukhari 6596 (Book 82, Hadith 3) #6344
Doing Good Deeds

SUMMARY: Everyone will do the deeds that they are created to do, or those that are easy for them to do, and this will lead them to their destined place.

Narrated 'Imran bin Husain: A man said, "O Allah's Messenger ! Can the people of Paradise be known (differentiated) from the people of the Fire; The Prophet replied, "Yes". The man said, "Why do people (try to) do (good) deeds?" The Prophet said, "Everyone will do the deeds for which he has been created to do or he will do those deeds which will be made easy for him to do". (ie everybody will find easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created).

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of doing good deeds in our lives. It tells us that everyone has a destiny and a purpose for which they have been created. We should strive to fulfill these purposes by doing good deeds, as this is what will lead us to our destined place. The Prophet Muhammad also said that it is easier for some people than others to do good deeds, so we should take advantage of any opportunities we have in order to make sure we reach our destination. Doing good deeds can be anything from helping others in need or being kind and generous towards those around us. It is important not only for ourselves but also for the benefit of society as a whole.
