Sahih al-Bukhari 651 (Book 10, Hadith 48) #628
The Reward of Praying with the Imam

SUMMARY: Praying with the Imam has greater reward than praying and going to bed.

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, "The people who get tremendous reward for the prayer are those who are farthest away (from the mosque) and then those who are next farthest and so on. Similarly one who waits to pray with the Imam has greater reward than one who prays and goes to bed".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rewards of prayer. It was narrated by Abu Musa that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that those who pray at home or far away from the mosque will receive a great reward for their prayer. He also said that those who wait to pray with an Imam will receive even greater rewards than those who pray alone and go to bed afterwards. This hadith teaches us that it is important to attend congregational prayers in mosques, as it brings more blessings from Allah SWT. It also encourages us to be patient and wait for our turn when we are praying in congregation, as this too brings great rewards from Allah SWT.
