Celebrate marriages joyfully & generously

This hadith is about the importance of celebrating marriages. The Prophet (ﷺ) saw a yellow mark on the clothes of 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf and asked him what it was about. He replied that he had just gotten married and the Prophet (ﷺ) congratulated him and encouraged him to host a wedding banquet, even if it was with only one sheep. This hadith teaches us that marriage is an important event in life that should be celebrated joyfully and generously. It also shows us how kind and generous the Prophet (ﷺ) was as he encouraged people to celebrate their marriages despite their financial situation or lack thereof.
