Sahih al-Bukhari 6262 (Book 79, Hadith 36) #6015
Accepting Judgement According to Allah's Will

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) gave his approval to the judgement of Sa'd, which was that the warriors of a tribe should be killed and their women and children taken as captives.

Narrated Abu Sa'id: The people of (the tribe of) Qurayza agreed upon to accept the verdict of Sa'd. The Prophet sent for him (Sa'd) and he came. The Prophet said (to those people), "Get up for your chief or the best among you!" Sa'd sat beside the Prophet and the Prophet said (to him), "These people have agreed to accept your verdict". Sa'd said, "So I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed and their women and children should be taken as captives". The Prophet said, "You have judged according to the King's (Allah's) judgment".

QUICK LESSONS:
Accept judgements given by those in authority even if you do not agree with it
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about accepting judgement according to Allah's will. It is narrated by Abu Sa'id that the people of Qurayza agreed upon to accept the verdict of Sa'd. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH sent for him and he came. He asked them to stand up for their chief or best among them, and they did so. Then, he asked them if they accepted Sa'd's judgement, and they said yes. So, Sa'd gave his judgement that their warriors should be killed and their women and children should be taken as captives. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH approved this decision saying it was according to Allah's judgment. This hadith teaches us that we must accept judgements given by those in authority even if we do not agree with it because it is ultimately Allah who has given this decision through His wisdom. We must also remember that justice is an important part of our faith; therefore we must strive for justice in all aspects of life while still being obedient towards those in authority over us who are appointed by God Himself.
