Feeding People & Greeting Others

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that the best Islamic traits are to feed people and greet those you know and don't know.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: A man asked the Prophet, "What Islamic traits are the best?" The Prophet said, "Feed the people, and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know".

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Abdullah bin 'Amr is about the best Islamic traits. According to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), feeding people and greeting those whom you know and those whom you do not know are two of the most important Islamic traits. Feeding people can be done in many ways such as providing food for them or helping them financially so they can buy food for themselves. Similarly, greeting others is a sign of respect which should be done regardless of whether one knows them or not. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to help others in need and show respect towards everyone we meet.
