Respectful Greetings

SUMMARY: It is important to show respect and greet those who are older, those who are passing by, and those in a larger group.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The young should greet the old, the passer by should greet the sitting one, and the small group of persons should greet the large group of persons".

QUICK LESSONS:
Always show respect when greeting someone regardless of age or size of their group.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of showing respect to others. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should always greet the elderly, people passing by, and people in large groups. This shows that we should be respectful to everyone regardless of their age or size of their group. We should also be mindful of our words when speaking with others as this can have a great impact on how they perceive us. Additionally, it is important to remember that even though someone may not be as old or part of a large group does not mean they do not deserve our respect; everyone deserves kindness and politeness no matter what their age or size of their group may be.
