Eating and Drinking Until Ibn Um Maktum Pronounces the Adhan

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of eating and drinking until Ibn Um Maktum pronounces the Adhan.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Messenger said, "Bilal pronounces the Adhan at night, so keep on eating and drinking (Suhur) till Ibn Um Maktum pronounces the Adhan".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ بِلاَلاً يُنَادِي بِلَيْلٍ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُنَادِيَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abdullah bin Umar and it talks about how important it is to eat and drink until Bilal pronounces the Adhan. He wanted people to take their time in order to ensure that they are properly nourished before beginning their day of fasting.
