Sahih al-Bukhari 6007 (Book 78, Hadith 38) #5767
Caring for Widows and Poor is Like Fighting for Allah's Cause

SUMMARY: Taking care of the poor and widows is like fighting in the cause of Allah.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "The one who looks after and works for a widow and for a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah's Cause". (The narrator Al-Qa'nabi is not sure whether he also said "Like the one who prays all the night without slackness and fasts continuously and never breaks his fast")

QUICK LESSONS:
Take care of widows & poor people; Show kindness & generosity towards others; Make sure everyone has access to basic necessities such as food & shelter; Do good deeds & help those who are in need; Strive for justice & equality among all people regardless their background or religion .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Huraira, teaches us that taking care of the poor and widows is an act that is equal to fighting in the cause of Allah. It emphasizes on how important it is to be compassionate towards those who are less fortunate than us. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that helping those who are in need should be a priority for all Muslims. He also said that if we do not help them, then we will not receive any help from God when we need it ourselves. This hadith encourages us to show kindness and generosity towards others, even if they are not related to us or our community. We should strive to make sure everyone has access to basic necessities such as food, shelter, clothing etc., so no one goes without these basic needs being met. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us that our actions have consequences; if we do good deeds then God will reward us with His mercy and blessings but if we neglect our duties then He may punish us accordingly.
