The Teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught his followers to pray, give charity, be chaste and maintain good relations with their relatives.

Narrated Abu Sufyan: That Heraclius sent for him and said, "What did he, ie the Prophet order you?" I replied, "He orders us to offer prayers; to give alms; to be chaste; and to keep good relations with our relatives.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ هِرَقْلَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالصَّدَقَةِ وَالْعَفَافِ وَالصِّلَةِ‏.‏

This hadith narrated by Abu Sufyan tells us about the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He taught his followers to pray regularly, give charity to those in need, remain chaste and maintain good relations with their relatives. Praying is an important part of a Muslim's life as it helps them stay connected to Allah and remember Him throughout their day. Giving charity is also important as it helps those who are less fortunate than us and reminds us that we should always be grateful for what we have been blessed with. Being chaste means being mindful of our actions and words so that we do not hurt or offend anyone else.
