Prohibiting Al-Qaza'

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forbade leaving tufts of hair after shaving one's head.

Narrated (Abdullah) bin 'Umar: Allah's Messenger forbade Al-Qaza' (leaving a tuft of hair here and there after shaving one's head)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَهَى عَنِ الْقَزَعِ‏.‏

This hadith is about the prohibition of Al-Qaza', which is when a person shaves their head and leaves tufts of hair here and there. This practice was forbidden by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that we should take care in our appearance and not leave any part of our body unkempt or untidy.
