Avoiding Bad Omens

SUMMARY: There is no such thing as contagious diseases or superstitions, but one should be wary of bad omens that may come from a woman, a house or an animal.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Messenger said, "There is neither 'Adwa (no contagious disease is conveyed to others without Allah's permission) nor Tiyarah, but an evil omen may be in three a woman, a house or an animal".
