The Effects of an Evil Eye and Tattooing

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ prohibited tattooing and warned of the effects of an evil eye.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The effect of an evil eye is a fact". And he prohibited tattooing.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ ‏"‏‏.‏ وَنَهَى عَنِ الْوَشْمِ‏.‏

This hadith is about the Prophet's warning against the effects of an evil eye and his prohibition against tattooing.
