Sahih al-Bukhari 5722 (Book 76, Hadith 37) #5488
Helping in Times of Need

SUMMARY: During the battle of Uhud, Prophet Muhammad's helmet broke and his face was covered with blood. His daughter Fatima helped him by burning a mat of palm leaves and sticking it on the wound to stop the bleeding.

Narrated Sahl bin Saud As-Sa'idi: When the helmet broke on the head of the Prophet and his face became covered with blood and his incisor tooth broke (ie during the battle of Uhud), 'Ali used to bring water in his shield while Fatima was washing the blood off his face. When Fatima saw that the bleeding increased because of the water, she took a mat (of palm leaves), burnt it, and stuck it (the burnt ashes) on the wound of Allah's Apostle, whereupon the bleeding stopped.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be helpful & compassionate towards others especially your loved ones

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad's daughter, Fatima, helped him during a difficult time. During the battle of Uhud, his helmet broke and his face was covered with blood. His incisor tooth also broke. To help her father, Fatima took a mat made from palm leaves and burned it before sticking it on the wound to stop the bleeding. This hadith teaches us that we should always be ready to help our loved ones in times of need no matter what situation we are in or how difficult it may seem at first glance. It also shows us that even small acts can make a big difference when done out of love for another person or for Allah SWT. We should strive to emulate this example set by Fatima whenever possible so that we can be rewarded both in this life and in the hereafter for our good deeds!
