The hadith narrated by Jabir bin 'Abdullah states that the Prophet advised people to use cupping, a gulp of honey or cauterization with fire as healing remedies. Cauterization is a medical procedure in which tissue is burned using heat or electric current in order to stop bleeding or remove unwanted tissue. However, the Prophet did not prefer to be cauterized himself with fire. This hadith teaches us that we should take care of our health and use natural remedies whenever possible instead of relying on modern medicines alone.
