EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of hospitality, generosity, and respect when welcoming guests. It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was once visiting an Ansari man with a companion. When they arrived, the man welcomed them warmly saying 'Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you!'. He then offered them water from his garden as it was hot outside. The Prophet asked if he had any water kept overnight in a water skin which he did have so he went to get it for them. He also milked some milk from a domestic goat into the bowl of water for them to drink. The Prophet drank first before offering it to his companion who also drank from it. This hadith teaches us that we should always welcome our guests with warmth, respect, generosity, and hospitality no matter what our circumstances are or how little we have to offer them as even small gestures can make a big difference in someone's life.
