EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Jabir bin 'Abdullah states that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prohibited the eating of donkey's meat on the day of battle of Khaibar and allowed for people to eat horse flesh. This hadith is a reminder to us that we should always follow what Allah has commanded us in terms of what we can and cannot eat. It also teaches us that even in times of difficulty or war, it is important to remain mindful about our actions and not forget our religious obligations. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as an example for us to be mindful about how we treat animals; even though it was permissible for Muslims to consume horse flesh during this time period, they were still expected to treat animals with respect and kindness.
