Perfection of Women in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) praised Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, Pharaoh's wife for their perfection and Aisha for her superiority to other women.

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: The Prophet said, "Many men reached perfection but none among the women reached perfection except Mary, the daughter of ' 'Imran, and Asia, pharaoh's wife. And the superiority of 'Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid to other kinds of food.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the perfection of women in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ praised two women, Mary the daughter of 'Imran and Asiya Pharaoh's wife for their perfection. He also praised 'Aisha by comparing her superiority to other women with that of Tharid which is a type of food. This hadith shows us that even though men are generally considered superior to women in many societies, Islam gives equal respect to both genders. It teaches us that we should appreciate all people regardless of gender or social status as everyone has something unique and special about them which can be used for good deeds.
