Journey to Mecca with the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet went on a journey to Mecca with Abu Qatada.

Narrated Abu Qatada: We went out towards Mecca with the Prophet.
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ نَحْوَ مَكَّةَ‏.‏

It also shows us how much importance was placed on travelling for religious purposes as it was done by our beloved prophet himself. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as an example of companionship and brotherhood between two people who were devoted followers of Allah SWT.
