Sahih al-Bukhari 528 (Book 9, Hadith 7) #510
The Power of Five Prayers

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) is teaching us that the five daily prayers are like a river that washes away our sins.

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Messenger saying, "If there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day would you notice any dirt on him?" They said, "Not a trace of dirt would be left". The Prophet added, "That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray five times each day as prescribed by Islam; seek forgiveness from God for any wrongdoings; strive to do good deeds; remain obedient to God's commands; stay focused on pleasing Allah through worshiping Him alone.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us about the power of prayer. He said that if we take a bath in a river five times a day, all the dirt and impurities would be washed away. In the same way, if we pray five times each day, our bad deeds will be wiped away and forgiven by Allah. This is because prayer is an act of worship to Allah and it brings us closer to Him. It also helps us to stay on the right path and do good deeds instead of bad ones. Prayer can help us become better people by reminding us of our purpose in life and helping us stay focused on what matters most - pleasing Allah through obedience to His commands.
