Confess your wrongdoings and seek repentance from Allahﷻ , Strive towards righteousness , Offer prayers regularly .

This hadith explains how good deeds can help us to remove our small sins. It was narrated by Ibn Mas'ud, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this hadith, a man confessed to kissing a woman unlawfully and went to ask for forgiveness from Allah ﷻ through His Messenger ﷺ. Allah then revealed verse 11:114 which states that if we pray perfectly at both ends of the day and some hours in between, our good deeds will annul our bad ones. The man asked if this applied only to him but it was clarified by Allah's Messenger ﷺ that it applies to all his followers. This teaches us an important lesson about how we should strive for righteousness in order for our bad deeds not be counted against us on Judgement Day. We should also remember that prayer is one way in which we can achieve this goal as it is an act of worship which brings us closer to Allah ﷻ and helps us stay away from sinning again in future.
