Try to resolve conflicts peacefully instead of taking drastic measures like making one's spouse unlawful or divorcing them; Follow the example set by Prophet Muhammad PBUH when dealing with marital issues; Show respect towards your spouse; Have patience when dealing with marital issues.

This hadith speaks about marriage and how it should be conducted. It is narrated by Sa'id bin Jubair and Ibn 'Abbas that if a man makes his wife unlawful for him, it does not mean that she is divorced. This means that even if a husband has an argument with his wife or gets angry at her, he should not make her unlawful for himself as this would lead to divorce. Instead of taking such drastic measures, the couple should try to resolve their differences in a peaceful manner. The hadith also mentions that we have an excellent example to follow in the Messenger of Allah , which means that we can look at how he conducted himself in marriage and use it as guidance when dealing with our own marital issues.
