Returning Home Late at Night

SUMMARY: It is advised to not return home late at night when away from the house for a long time.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: Allah's Messenger said, "When anyone of you is away from his house for a long time, he should not return to his family at night".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ إِذَا أَطَالَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَيْبَةَ فَلاَ يَطْرُقْ أَهْلَهُ لَيْلاً

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it is best to not return home late at night when away from the house for a long time. This hadith teaches us about being mindful of our family's safety and security, as well as being considerate of their feelings. It also encourages us to be responsible and plan ahead so that we can arrive home safely and on time. We should also be aware of our surroundings and take necessary precautions while travelling in order to ensure our own safety as well.
