This hadith is narrated by 'Aisha and it speaks about the importance of having a sense of self respect. Allah has a great sense of self respect and He forbids His slaves from engaging in illegal sexual intercourse. If we knew what Allah knows, we would laugh less and weep more because we would understand the gravity of our actions. This hadith teaches us to be mindful about our actions as they have consequences that can be dire if not taken seriously. We should always strive to do what is right according to Islamic teachings so that we can avoid any form of punishment or regret for our wrongdoings. It also teaches us to take responsibility for our own actions and not blame others for them as this will only lead to further suffering in the long run.
